Registration | A guarantee for professionalism

In society there is an increasing demand for the quality of professional performance and schooling, training, post-graduate courses, and experience in the relevant profession is demanded of persons working in a particular profession. The Government recognises this too and has drawn up professional profiles for everone who works in the field of education.

Remedial teaching requires a specific expertise in the field of observation, diagnosis and the treatment of learning problems. As yet the profession of remedial teacher has not been protected. Everone can call himself remedial teachet and can get to work as such.

In order to be able to guarantee the quality and the professionalism of remedial teachers the LBRT has established the possibility for registration for remedial teachers in Pimary Education since 1 January 1995. Since 1 November 1997 the possibility for registration for remedial teachers in Secondary Education has also been established.

The LBRT guarantees the quality and expertise of the members registered with the association. Only those remedial teachers that meet with the quality requirements of the LBRT are eligible for the LBRT-registration.
